Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® the nation’s first Greek letter organization for college educated African American women has a proud tradition of celebrating academic excellence and inspiring young people to pursue higher education.

Scholarship Opportunity for Alamance Burlington School System Seniors! 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Pi Omicron Omega Chapter is now accepting scholarship applications!

 

The Pi Omicron Omega Chapter, based in Burlington, North Carolina, proudly offers multiple scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Alamance Burlington School System.

  • $1,000 scholarships are available for students planning to attend a four-year college or university.

  • $500 scholarships are available for those pursuing their education at a two-year community college.

Eligible students in good standing at any Alamance County high school are encouraged to apply.

Key Information:

  • Deadline: Scholarship applications and supporting documents must be submitted by Thursday, April 2, 2026.

  • Notification: Recipients will be notified of their awards in May 2026.

If you are a high school senior planning to enroll in college in Fall 2026, don’t miss this opportunity to receive financial support for your education. The application window will be open from March 2 through April 2. Eligible applicants include ABSS high school seniors and relatives of Sorors in the Pi Omicron Omega Chapter.
